Premium Ashiatsu Massage

The signature experience the depth of working with the feet.

There is something unsettling in the idea of receiving a massage from the feet, since one immediately imagines weight, heaviness, being crushed, and none of that happens: what comes down is not a whole body, it is a chosen fraction, and that is where all the difference lies.

On the ceiling, two bars, which I never let go of during the session, and the whole of the work depends on that suspension, because it allows me to measure what I transmit, a quarter of my weight, half of it, almost nothing, and to move from one to the other in the middle of a movement without the movement breaking or the skin losing contact. Without those bars, this would be someone walking on a back; with them, it is a pressure decided second by second, according to what the tissue accepts.

A body taken by surprise closes up, it is a reflex nothing gets around and no force overcomes, and it is precisely for that reason that everything here happens slowly: the foot settles, takes its place, sinks in gradually, leaving the body time to understand what is coming, and once it has understood, it stops defending itself and lets it through. That is how depth is reached without ever being torn open.

The back, the legs and the shoulders call for breadth and continuity, and it is the feet that work them, while the neck and everything demanding fineness fall to the hands, each part of my body offering a quality of pressure the other could not give.

Many close their eyes within the first few minutes, because what they receive feels less like pressure than like a weight that settles, stretches at length, then withdraws, and when the session ends it is common to feel that the back has lengthened, that the shoulders have come down without being asked, and that the body has been unfolded rather than massaged.

This treatment is particularly suited to dense bodies, to backs that do not give
